Bluebonnets for Days

Last year we jumped at the chance to photograph the baby in bluebonnets and this year we did the same. Check out this sweet little squinty baby this time last year! We went during the middle of the day and the lighting wasn't so great.

Just in case you don't know, the bluebonnet is the official state flower of Texas. You can find them mostly along highways, but also in parks and other random areas in Texas during the Spring. People flock to take photos with them, since they bloom so temporarily, and we were no different. Except we came equipped with only an iPhone 7.

My mother-in-law tipped us off to some great bluebonnet sightings around our neighborhood and we were excited to go play in them.

There were obvious paths amidst the flowers, where others had left their trails. This made it a fun little maze for Hayes to run around.

Getting him to stop for a picture proved to be challenging. There's no slowing this kid down.

Poppy thought she could hide in my big flowy dress, but she was there! All 25 weeks of her.

I forced my photographer to be in at least one photo and he obliged.

I can't wait to return next year with my real camera and another little dumpling in tow!
