Bump Day - Week 20 - UPDATE!

Praise the Lord! My visit with the perinatal specialist was a GREAT one. He said the isolated Choroid Plexus Cyst was barely noticeable and is nothing that he is concerned with. Apparently, 20 years ago, this was a big deal, but research has proven that now it's nothing.

I was grinning from ear to ear the entire visit, as I watched little Poppy kick and wave on the screen. She was much more cooperative today and we got a really good look at her.

The moment I had been waiting for... visual confirmation that she is, in fact, a GIRL!

Y'all. Seriously look how similar Poppy and Hayes' 20 week ultrasounds look. I'm guessing Hayes will have a little (girly) mini-me!

I know how lucky I am to have one healthy child here with me and another healthy child on the way. It could have very easily gone the other way. Our friends, Paige & Kyle, have very recently suffered the most unimaginable tragedy of losing their first born to a rare neurological disorder, Lissencephaly. You can follow her blog here as she continues to grieve the loss of sweet, handsome baby Jack.

Some days, when I feel like Hayes has been a terror, I'm elbow deep in poopy diapers, and I'm 2 seconds from ripping my hair out, I just want a break. But things have really been put in perspective for me. I want to squeeze, and kiss, and love on my little wild man every second that I can. Just because I can. And that's a wonderful thing.
